Where Agricultural Tradition Meets Innovation, Turning Every Seed into a Story of Excellence and Sustainability
Roots of Excellence
The Chioggia area, with its centuries-old traditions and deep-rooted connection to agriculture, is the cradle of Veneto horticulture.
Here, between Chioggia and Sottomarina, nature and human ingenuity have come together for generations, transforming sandy soils into fertile fields capable of producing unique products of excellence such as radicchio.
Sand, an element that may appear inhospitable, has become the ideal growing medium for the renowned “La Rosa di Chioggia” radicchio, now appreciated around the world.
This transformation is not only a testament to resilience, but also to a carefully preserved tradition that continues to enhance a product that embodies Veneto and its people.
The history of radicchio dates back to the 15th century, when the first chicory plants were introduced to the Treviso area.
Since then, thanks to the passion and dedication of Veneto’s growers, this crop has evolved, giving rise to varieties increasingly suited to market demands and more resilient to changing climatic conditions.
Today, Veneto radicchio is renowned for its distinctive organoleptic qualities, versatility, and remarkable ability to adapt to different climates and soils.
Radicchio Factory was born from this land and this tradition, carrying their value forward.
Every seed we produce is the result of careful selection and continuous scientific research, always with an eye on the past, preserving the heritage that makes our territory unique.
Beyond being an agricultural product of excellence, radicchio is an ambassador of Veneto’s cultural and gastronomic heritage. With its unmistakable flavour, it tells the story of a region that continues to innovate while remaining deeply faithful to its roots
